Counselling Therapy
Counselling therapy is a form of therapy that allows people to discuss their problems, worries and any difficult feelings they are experiencing in a safe, non-judgmental environment. As a Registered Counselling Therapist, I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, relational and attachment issues, and other issues using training in Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Music Therapy and Hypnotherapy.
Clinical Hypnotherapy
Clinical hypnotherapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses relaxation techniques to induce a trance-like state in which the patient is more open to suggestion1. It is used by specially trained health professionals to help individuals engage the subconscious mind to reinforce positive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Sessions can be 1 to 1.5 hours in length and can address sticky thoughts, core beliefs, or deep work such as working with dissociated parts and memories.
Music Therapy
Music therapy can help where talking fails. It can be a way of expressing and investigating the self that is more symbolic and abstract, helping to facilitate insight. As a Certified Music Therapist, I'm specially trained to use a method called Music and Imagery, which involves using preferred music, inner felt experience, and imagery to gain deeper insight. Other interventions might involve playlisting, songwriting, lyric analysis, improvisation, and more.
